We gather on this evening to begin the process of soul-searching and reflection, preparing ourselves for the magnitude of the Days of Awe. A musical Havdalah will be followed by the singing and recitation of Selichot—penitential prayers—that help us ponder how we can defeat the negative inclinations in our lives and change ourselves for the better. We will change the Torah mantles to white on this evening as a representation of the journey toward the purification of our souls. Please join us for this spiritually moving evening!
