Tour Request

For Groups or Classes

Temple Shalom receives frequent requests for tours of the synagogue and/or presentations about Judaism.  We will do our best to accommodate these requests when possible, prioritizing the needs of Temple members and our religious practices.  To be sure we understand your request and can determine whether we can provide what you are looking for, please provide the following information to the Temple Office:

  1. What is the group name, class or organization making the request, and what is the name and type of the parent organization (e.g., religious, academic or civic institution)?
  2. Who is making the request and what is his/her position in relation to the group?
  3. What is the size of the group that would be visiting Temple Shalom?
  4. What is the age group (e.g., school grade, adult, seniors)?
  5. What would you like to be the focus of the tour or presentation?
  6. When are you hoping the tour/presentation can take place (e.g., day of week, time of day)?  Please indicate your flexibility for best scheduling.
  7. During what range of dates are you hoping the tour/presentation can take place?
  8. Do you desire a tour/presentation at Temple Shalom, or are you looking for a presentation at another location?  If elsewhere, please specify the location.
  9. Who should be contacted regarding the request, and what is his/her phone number and email address?
  10. Other information you feel would be helpful.

Incomplete submissions may delay our consideration or result in our inability to respond.

For Individuals (including Students)

Non-Jews are welcome to attend any of our religious services. Please refer to "Information for First Time Visitors" and the Temple Calendar for additional information. When you visit, please inform the usher(s) that you are visiting so that he/she can provide you with additional information about that specific service. For general information about Judaism, there are several sites on the Internet that may be able to answer your questions. One particularly helpful website is www.myjewishlearning.com.

Thank you for your interest.
