Mishloach Manot 2025

Welcome to the PTO Mishloach Manot Fundraiser! We are so happy you are here to participate. Please read below for information and answers to typical questions:

What is Mishloach Manot?
This lovely tradition stems from the idea that Jewish people should, as a mitzvah, send gifts of prepared food via messenger to each other on the holiday of Purim. Although there are many online resources, here is one from My Jewish Learning that will tell you about Purim gifts: https://www.myjewishlearning.com/article/purim-gifts/.

What is the gift being provided this year at Temple Shalom?
The PTO is hand baking over 400 hamantaschen cookies and purchasing other delightful gifts that are being packaged into our Mishloach Manot and made ready as festive Purim gifts.

How does the fundraiser work?
Many synagogues host this type of fundraiser. You can pay a small fee for each recipient to whom you wish to send a Mishloach Manot. For $12 you can send a single Mishloach Manot to the Temple Shalom family of your choice. You can choose to send individual Mishloach Manot to as many Temple families as you would like. You can also choose to reciprocate a Mishloach Manot to anyone who sends you one! Our fundraiser offers you the opportunity to pay a Special Mishloach Manot Sponsorship price to "send" Mishloach Manot to 15 or more families (you provide names and contact information for all your recipients in the space provided below) at the $180 price. If you choose to send Mishloach Manot to 15 or 40+ families, the price will remain $180. This fundraiser is designed to give you the most flexibility possible.

What do recipients receive?
Each recipient family will receive a list of the people who thought of them on this occasion and purchased a Mishloach Manot for them. They will receive a single, hand-packed gift box. All the money raised will go to support Temple Shalom's PTO and our support of the Temple Shalom community.

This will be your confirmation email.
Any orders from Now until Sunday, March 3,
will have your name listed on the recipients' card.
