The Congregation of Temple Shalom extends its sincere condolences to the Kirstel Family and friends of Howard Kirstel.

Mr. Howard 'Red' Kirstel was born on April 9, 1944 in New York, New York and celebrated his 78th birthday last month.  Howard died on Monday afternoon, May 23, 2022 in Colorado Springs. 

A memorial service is planned at Temple Shalom this Sunday, May 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM, led by Rabbi Jay Sherwood. Howard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gretchen and is survived by children and grandchildren, his support dog Aliyah, and friends in the Colorado Springs community.

May the entire Kirstel family and friends of Howard be comforted among all other mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
