1-Does Temple Shalom offer a weekly Torah Study?
Yes, Temple Shalom does offer an ongoing Torah Study every week on Tuesday
mornings at 9:00. The study is progressive and extensive, but is
not “Parashah” specific for each individual week.
2-What about general Adult Education?
Temple Shalom offers many opportunites for Adult Education. Temple Shalom utilizes
National Jewish Outreach Programs such as Crash Courses in
Basic Judaism, Hebrew Reading and Writing, and Jewish History.
Other NJOP programs include Shabbat Across America and the
Model Seder-Passover Workshop. All NJOP events are offered
free of charge to the congregation and the community.
3-Can anyone suggest a program of special interest?
Yes,
congregants frequently suggest topics of special interest. In
fact, the recent Adult Education programs called “Why Do We Say
Things In The Liturgy That We Don’t Mean? came at the request of a
congregant. The program “Empowering the Family: Confronting
Anti-Semitism” was also the suggestion of a congregant.
